maybe. I'm
surprised you didn't get answers from this list.

Shoot-fire, buddy, give us a chance! The list has been down all day and
this is the first time it's been back up....It's a slow, cold-blooded
Topica list, not some blazing hot chat line with instant answers....

I agree whole-heartedly with the "RIDE IT!" philosophy. I have a slight
advantage over Rob and Sam, since they are by all appearances wiry and
slender, while I operate on the same principle that allows a walrus or
an orca to dive under the Arctic ice pack and stay perfectly warm and
comfy.

That being said (and no more), my Eldo is cold-natured, much more so
than my FI Centauro. On mornings in the mid-to-high 20's, sometimes I
have to leave it on "choke" (so to speak) for 10 miles or more before it
will behave and stop spitting back through the carbs on deceleration.
When it gets colder, I'm afraid it may never warm up, without somehow
cutting off the airflow to the cylinders. Some sort of leg-shield in
front of the cylinders would seem to be in order.
