Scott,
If the motor was installed as a unit, it's an early 850T, the late 850Ts &
all the T3's had the internal oil filters. The V7 sport & 750S had the round
cylinders, crank mounted alternator, & no oil filter, but used the screw-in
collets to mount the exhaust pipes. They all used the VBH 30 carbs. As I
have my Guzziology open to check the carb info, the gasket kit for the VBH
30 is # 1793 9950, (just in case you need it).
Is the rear brake 2 leading shoe? If so, you are lucky & the PO put an 850T
rear wheel/brake assembly w/the cush drive on the bike. It really helps the
life of the U-Joint/drive train.
A second front disc can be installed on the left slider, (I did it on my
Police Eldo) I used a disc & the left caliper from a T-3, & had a spacer
machined (you have to use a spacer behind the disc, or change out the
bearing/disc carrier). I ordered the Teflon/ss brake line & fittings
necessary to plumb up the dual disc from Moto International. I followed the
directions making up the lines & have never had a hint of a problem with
them.
