Charlie,

I think the Bosch generator systems are pretty capable. On
Junkyard with headlight (sealed beam) on high, tail light (sae 1157, 4
running lights (1157 low side), 4-way flashers (the other 1157
filaments), 2 saddlebag running lights, and a pair of 35 watt spots on,
plus the ignition, it will show 14 volts at the battery terminals at
around 3000 rpm. No problems charging here!

Hi Joe,
Lights are important too. I want to add driving lights, but don't want
the bike to look like another Harley wannabe. I'll figure out what kind
and where I want them as the project progresses. The rear will have the
stock taillight, running lights on the back of the Wixoms, and
rectangular LED auxilliary brake light. Might add two more tail/brake
lights on either side of the stock taillight like Pat Galbraith has on
her Ambo. Thinking of mounting a neon strip on the side of each bag too.

I'll probably need the Suzuki Samurai alternator conversion I've been
working on to power it all!

Maybe an added benefit of the blinding chrome and polished stainless,
retina-searing red powder and loud Hella horns will be that some of the
cellphone talking, centerline crossing, red light running morons on the
road nowadays will see (and hear) me!
