 Lannis,
I had my Eldo set up with a velorex and it did great in the snow. I

It was a blast.

I've had some experience with a Velorex on a Convert, and also a Ural
(Urinal) outfit. I didn't like the Velorex car nearly as well the Ural.

The Ural sidecar is built of solid steel like a Russian tractor. The
trunk is huge and easy to access. By all means, get the luggage rack and
spare tire mount. The worst part is probably the crappy Russian chrome
rims. Maybe this has improved, or you could relace the hub.

The Ural bike is a POS in most ways, but even it has some redeemable
features. The rig handled great at "Ural" speeds (55 max). Maybe this was
because of the leading link front end, or maybe it was just better
set-up. The Convert rig had a high buck Unit leading link fork on it too.
It seemed like the Velorex car was too light for the 'Vert.

The reverse gear on the Ural was also WAY handy. The best part of the
Ural for riding in wet, dirty, salty winter conditions is that "it's a
Ural, who cares".

I'd like to have another hack someday myself. Hmmm, maybe a Ural with a
V700 engine?
