Easiest thing is to bend a bow in the long brake rod. This sometimes is
enough. If not, "mis-adjust the rod between the two actuating arms on
the backing plate so that both shoes do not contact the drum at the
same instant. If even that doesn't work, get rid of the green linings
and go with a harder compound. The ones sold by MI work "well," meaning
they're less locky than the green linings.

I am swaping my rear wheel & brake on my eldo with a 850T. Does
anyone have any tips on adjusting these brake units. When it was on
my T, it would lock up all the time when I went to use it.
