Thanks for the help so far. I opened up the front of the '74 eldo (Great
Pumpkin as suggested) and there is a chain in thar. The chain is VERY loose,
it will touch the sides of the case with some left over. I'm guessing the
reason my bike isn't running is the chain slipped a link and timing got
bunged. What do I do now?

There is a little item that looks like a tensioner that slides right to left
if you loosen the two bolts, but it doesn't look like it would do anything
even if the chain were already tight. I slid it all the way in (towards the
center) and it does nothing. Is there another way of removing slack or do I
have to get a new chain?

Also I guess I'll get a book so I don't have to bother you guys with this
stuff (like how to align all the gears correctly and get the chain in place
etc...) Does guzziology cover all this stuff or should I get a shop manual?
