Hi Greg,

With all of the mods Greg Field has done to his Eldo, I was surprised to
see that he was using the stock airbox. When I asked him about it, he
explained that he really liked the reduced intake noise. To get it to
seal properly, he uses silicon sealant around the lip of the rubber
boot.

Thanks John. Do the terminals interfere with the o.e. battery
holddown frame? I'll be using K&N filters, so maybe it would work better

to point the terminals forward in my case?

Charlie,
My bike was missing the hold down frame so I cannot answer that. I took

a lenght of metal and drilled two holes, cut it to size and bought two
long hold down screws. I'm using the original aircleaner and no
modifications were needed on the battery tray.
The terminals when pointed rearward keep the pos. and neg. on the
correct sides. The available flush screwdown mounting for terminals
like on the new Guzzi's would give the most room for stashing extra
supplies.
I wanted to preserve the original terminals so I ran a bolt thru them to

the brass terminals which have a threaded insert down the top.

A google search will flood you with info.

Later,
