Hi Alan,
If you're looking to stay as close to original as possible then chrome
is the best choice. Maybe even having yours rechromed? Never done a
side-by-side comparison of o.e. and reproduction headpipes so I can't
really comment if there is a difference in quality (thickness of the
pipe, etc.).

I chose stainless steel because the cost difference is minimal (vs.
chrome repros). The stainless should stay nicer looking for a longer
period of time as well with a minimum of maintenance. Mine are from EPCO
Stainless. EPCO's stainless headpipes are a bit more costly than those
available from MG Cycle and Moto International, but I'm using a Convert
engine and EPCO made up a set special for me (for a minimal additional
cost) with the Tonti frame style flanges and the curve of the Loopframe
pipes. The quality is top notch, the cost was $210/pr. Cheers,

I'm thinking about replacing the head pipes on my Eldo.

Should I go for stainless or chrome? I'm thinking chrome, as that would
original. Any thoughts?
