It's hard to say exactly what the deal is with Marshall Hagy at British
Parts Chicago. My dealings with him have all been excellent. I've
bought from him in person at MidOhio and half a dozen other venues; he
brings a truck to every BritBike rally in the country.

I've bought from him via eBay and gotten some good deals; matter of
fact, he even sold me a set of BSA exhausts for LESS than I offered him,
told me that he wasn't going to sell them to me for more than he was
selling to everyone else just because I'd offered more. (!!!!!!!). He's
definitely an aggressive Type A personality....and that might explain
why some people seem to just hate him, and make a career out of trying
to go after him. Some good people seem to have had genuinely bad
experiences with him for some reason, and will not deal with him again.

Very strange. I like dealers, I NEED dealers, they need me, we normally
get along very well. Can't think of one that has flat done me wrong and
I wouldn't recommend. (Unless ex-Harley dealer Dennis Schultz is still
in business somewhere, he ripped me off and left town in the middle of
the night with my deposit money for accessories). But British Parts
Chicago seems to be doing well even though some people say they've been
done wrong.

Well, people need to bid on that bike for what it is. If it's a parts
collection, then a parts collection price; if its a bike, then a bike
price. Free market at work, and caveat emptor....
