Guys, I knoow that this may sound strange to you, but.

Does anybody actually lock their steering?
I don't know the last time I even removed the ignition key from my 700.
As far as locking my other bikes, I would have to find the keys first to
lock my Harleys ignitions.

Just a question, not trying to start any flame wars here. Curiousity
sometimes sucks.

I contacted the seller and they have more of these locks available. If
anyone is interested in defraying shipping costs, let me know. The price
is $15.50 for each lock and $10.50 for shipping (up to three locks).
I'll be happy to front the money and then we can divide up the shipping.
If interested, just give me a shout at:

greg @ thisoldtractor.com

I'll be placing my order on Monday, so get in touch with me before then.

Ok Loopers, found an identical in every way replacement for the fork
lock.
The one from All Italia
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/laverda/itcatalog/mainframe.htm(go to page
2
of Accessories) will work, but the end that engages with the steering
stem
is a little short. There is a guy in Germany selling some for $15.50 on
eBay
as BMW fork lock R25/3-69/S,/5/6. This lock is identical to both that I
took
out of my frames. Check this link for the auction I bought it on so you
can
see what it looks like and see if he has any more for those interested.

Maybe this can also be found from your local BMW dealer? All I can say
is I
bought it January 16th and got it today in the mail.
