In Maryland, your vehicle is physically inspected only once - when you get
your license plates. It is a very through inspection but it will last as
long as you own the vehicle. My Guzzi failed the first time due to the 'N'
light always being on; you get one free re-inspection.

There is still emissions inspections but only on cars since 1974 (my '73
Alfa GTV is exempt) every two years. Don't know about bikes but maybe the
newer ones with cats. need them.

Here in Jersey, I put "Historic" plates on my Eldo ($41.00 and a photo),
and an inspection is no longer required. Any other states have such a
deal, and why not take advantage of that while we're all riding 30+ year
old bikes?
