I used the Eastwood wrinkle black twice now with good results. The
wrinkle isn't quite as fine as the original, but this may depend on
application, temperature and such. It can be a bit tricky - the
instructions say to apply two heavy coats. You don't know if they were
heavy enough though until about 12 hours later. Not heavy enough and it
won't wrinkle, too heavy it runs. I've done two dashes now and the first
one had a small (10mm dia.) spot that didn't wrinkle. Second one
wrinkled very nicely, but the gen. belt cover had one spot that didn't
quite wrinkle fully. As John mentions, warm parts, paint and ambient
temp. will be a big help. Haven't tried any other brands so can't offer
a comparison. Cheers,

I think I used 'wrinkle finish' spray can from Eastwood, however I
suppose any wrinkle finish paint bomb from an auto parts store would
work.
The trick I used was to put it about 6" away from a floodlight to
warm it up overnight. Fun stuff to work with, goes on smooth but after a

while it starts to wrinkle up like 'nads in cold water.

Let's try this again without prematurely hitting the enter key..

Someone drilled 4 holes in my Eldo's dash. Since this is some kind of
pot or cast metal, welding is out. I will use JBweld to fix the holes.
What kind of paint are you guys using to create the 'orange peel'
texture. I know there are many paints out there that create a texture.
Just wondering if any of these come close to the original..
