Nice day here in New Jack City. I spent the morning in the garage
attending to the neglected Eldo. I replaced the toasted Marzocci rear
shocks with some Hagons. I followed Greg F. and Ken P. by increasing
the length to 13.5 or thereabouts. With the bike on the centerstand the
rear tire is still touching the ground!

I ordered the wrong jets for the 36mm carbs. #130 mains are too big for
the stock G-5 motor but the #50 idle jet is fine. This is confirmed by
the sniffer on John Tavolacchi's dyno

http://www.dyno-solutions.com/.

The #145 jets I ordered from MG Cycle won't make it better so I will be
putting in #125.

About seats and spouses/S.O. I believe the key to happiness is moving
around on the seat. On my last ride with my wife I had the highway pegs
on the crashbars. Every so often I would scooch forward and put my feet
on the forward pegs while she stretched out onto mine. Of course I do
not have a heel-toe shifter anymore...

I also made her a whoopie cushion so she could see over my shoulder and
put on a triple A rack with backrest. All this stuff uglifies the bike
some but my wife is a lot prettier than Tom LaNasa so things even out at
the lunch stop.

If Paul Linn is reading this and wondering where his pillbox switches
are: Send your address again please. I lost it in a frenzy of computer
tidying.
