Hi Tom,
I used the small o-ring in the kit on the idle mixture screw, but none
on the idle speed/slide stop screw. All of the diagrams I have don't
show an o-ring in either position, but I decided to use one on the idle
mixture screw to insure a positive seal. Probably unneccessary in either
position with the spring tension against the threads. Cheers,

Actually, I had a related question on VHB 30's. When I rebuilt mine (with MG Cycle's gasket kits), there were no o-rings on the idle mix and idle speed screws, although they are shown on the VHB 30 parts diagram. Does anyone know if they are supposed to be there, or is this a mistake on the diagram, or on the Carbs, or in the kit? |
