First, thanks to John, Charlie, Kevin & Karl and anyone else I missed for
their mirror suggestions. I really appreciate it. The ones you had on your
Laverda are very similar to the height and size I'm looking for, except I'd
prefer them to be threaded if I could get them that way. Any idea where you
got them?
Out of a junk box in my basement. They're actually just the straight
cheap clamp on mirrors you get anywhere. I see them all the time at swap
meets for a couple bucks. I had to bend them a little bit to fit between
the fairing and handlebars.

Finally, John, I had previously thought about trying to modify the Mickey
Mouse mirrors by bending them as you suggested, but since the shafts are
chrome, I feared that the chrome would most certainly crack if I tried to
bend them, doncha think?

Yup, I thought about that too, and the bend you'd have to make would
probably be too much for the chrome. If you do try to bend it, try to
jig it up to bend over a round pipe or similar. But then, you could dare
to be different and paint them black. Or fluorescent orange. Or shrink
some shrink tubing over them, yeah, that's the ticket. Pick off the
chrome flakes, sand the stalks down with 240 grit and shrink tube them.
Just thinkin' out loud here.
