John,

In one of my books it actually lists them as wave washer. It's a spring
steel washer, I guess to give the nut some resistance to backing out like a
spring washer would do.

I've pulled a number of heads off loops and have never seen wavy washers.
They've always been flat.

I don't remember if I took a wavy washer out from under the allen head nut.
I searched thru the box where each heads parts were placed and only have 5
wavy washers. Was I missing a washer to begin with? In the parts layout it
shows a washer, but it's part number is different than the other 5 on the
head. Any ideas?
