I have had good luck through the years with 'free' bikes. I have always
managed to make, and not lose, money on the deal. You do have to be
selective about what orphans you care to 'adopt'. I go through stages,
in the eighties it was old Yamaha two-strokes. The late nineties found a
bunch of Honda singles in my garage. Right now I have a 68 CT90, two '70
CT90s and a '79 CT70, all acquired for free. Two with titles, which I
find is the biggest headache with free bikes. On the average Ebay market
these together are worth about $2,500. I have about $400 hard cash into
all four. Labor is another story but still not bad. But I plan to just
sell one, leave one at the cabin and give the other two away to corrupt,
er I mean introduce, a couple of kids into the lifestyle of biker
debauchery ;-).

Freebies are nice for project bikes in your sparetime and if you have
spare money. -----------------------------
