Wasn't sweating it, it was just so far off it looked bad and I had some
concerns of the tire rubbing the fender. Spoke with Mark later that eve
and got his insights on how to straighten it out, a good ole sledge
hammer did the job... actually, I loosened up everything as he
suggested and tweaked here and there and got it staight, nearly perfect
up front, the rear is much better. Seems like the difference maker was
shifting the fender on the fender stays - the fender has oval holes that
allow you to move the fender left or right a bit on the stay. Worked.
Plus, I think the fender braces aren't true either which adds to the
offset. One thing the front fender stay does do is tilt the fender back
towards the rear a bit. I had centered the fender indentations on the
fork sliders but as soon as I moved the front fender stay into mounting
position, it pushed the fender down towards the rear a bit. Think the
only way to fix that is to bend the stay. Not worried about it as it is
not worth the effort as the fender is pretty centered now.

 Keith,

Did you try DW's highly scientific way of centering the front wheel on
the axle?

You should see my headlight brackets. Way bent, bike still runs fine.
Don't sweat the small stuff, there's plenty of big stuff.
