Aren't the front pulley and the flywheel settings exactly the same ?

I forgot to mention, the timing marks on the flywheel are used when
setting the valve timing and have nothing to do with the distributor
timing that is generally done using the timing marks on the front
crankshaft pulley.

The flywheel has timing marks on it that are only correct when it is bolted on in the correct position on the crankshaft. 3. The pressure plate and the flywheel have teeth marked for alignment - so that the springs align properly with the holes. 4. It doesn't matter how the clutch plates or the intermediate plate go on.
