There is a shop here in town called Fisher Buggies, they have a 300 hp,
2180 cc VW Flat four they used in their drag car. Made a awful noise going
down the track.

They are a good place to pick up old bosch parts. I saw a old mag where a
company in Cal back in the 60's used to put Porsche flat 4's in BMW /2
frames

I can't find the url for it but there was a mount for an HD motor to VW
transaxle designed for trikes a while back, which put the HD mill
sdieways. Interesting but a waste of a good HD motor in my opinion. Hell
you can get a lot more horses out of a 1776 VW motor.

Now I may be mistaken but I think even a ragged out HD will produce
more horsepower than the fastest 1776 vehicle.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
