Those smaller Guzzis did get a bad rap but one thing to look out for is the
2 valves per head vs. 4 valves per head and danged if I can remember right
now which is better. Bob

Rob, I bought a V65SP for my Ex-wife in about '95. I had one for myself
that I rode for four or five years. We went on a few trips together on it
two up. The small block twins have a bad rap that I think is not deserved.
I was told the points should be replaced with electronic ignition as they
were a pesky issue. We didn't put enough miles to have a problem with them.
They don't have the chrome cylinders as do the loops, so no problem there.
I got her bike from a guy who had mistreated it, and it was only running on
one cylinder. He had just had it worked on, so thought something bad was
wrong. I paid four hundred dollars for it. It needed lots of work and
paint. turned out the running on only one cylinder was just a broken
throttle cable. Paint, new tires redone seat, dyna coils, new grips, and it
was like new. They run good too. She is about 5'3" and fit okay after I
put lower profile tires and had the seat done a bit thinner. She rode it to
the National Rally in Arkansas in '96 and did quite well.

I think it would be a good choice.
