OK I'm gonna stir the pot here.......heh heh heh..
Look I know you guys mean well but your not doing anything for AJ if you
just hold back any knowledge from your experience. What? We'll tell him how
to put a rear wheel on but when it comes to advice and insight on riding it
becomes "OH No that has too much liability" (per say) C'mon, the guy is
smart enough to work on his own loop, (you do, don't you AJ?:-)). He was
smart enough to find this list right? Well, give him credit, I know when I
was learning I got all sorts of "suggestions" I took what I needed and threw
the rest to the curb. You guys are absolutely right too tell him to take the
MSF course(that's what I did)but what do THEY say? The more you know the
better it gets...

My opinion....

Kev

Oh I should leave advice for him eh, I reckon, seeing as I just got off the
box.
Watch the right lane, folks get really impatient waiting for cars turning,
They do the "quick merge" right into you if your not looking..

Rich, I think your idea for restraint in giving instructions on this
forum is a great idea. I got caught up in providing my opinions in
response to some legitimate questions that I cannot hope to fully answer
or address in written format. As you mentioned, an MSF course is a very
good place to learn.

AJ, please accept my ramblings as my opinion only - I'm sure the class
you are scheduled to take in April will prove much more beneficial.

I think trying to give MC riding instructions in this forum is not a
good idea. I'd strongly suggest you take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation

course or something similar.
