Greg,

Ok, thanks. When I get home on Saturday I will check for you and see what I have. I picked up a set of those same brackets off eBay and they came with the bottom straps. Not made by JK, but made by someone.

Hi Paul,

Joe Kenny measurements:
Overall length is 84mm - the clamps do not go clear to the outside of
the pipes.
Space in the middle is 23mm - this is the more important measurement, as
the JK Clamps have the pipes spaced almost precisely this distance
apart.

MG Cycle strap measurements:
Overall length is 94mm - the clamps do not go clear to the outside of
the pipes.
Space in the middle - this is a harder measurement to get on the straps,
because there is no clear separation like with JK clamps. I'm estimating
it is close to 35mm.

 Greg,

Take some measurements of the width of the new clamps and I will check
to see if I have some straps at home that will fit. I know I have some
single lonesome straps laying about.

Paul,

That was my first thought, too. Might just have to pick up a length of
stainless and have some fun.

Steve, thanks for the offer on your clamps.

I purchased a set of the header pipe clamps made by Joe Kenny.

http://www.swva.net/jkenny/

But the Joe Kenny one's don't come with the bottom bracket to make the
clamps actually clamp. So, I order a set of strap type clamps from MG
Cycle with the plan to use those as the bottom portion to the Joe Kenny
clamps.

http://www.mgcycle.com/exhaustclampflange.html

Problem: The strap type clamps sold by MG Cycle are wider than the
clamps sold by Joe Kenny. So, the frame and the exhaust pipe don't clamp

neatly together with this set up. I'd really like to use the Joe Kenny
clamps, but I do need a solid clamping set up.

Thoughts, anyone?
