The illustration of the spacer on page 20-18 in Guzziology is for LeMans

IV and early LeMans V which have internal springs.

In the text next to it (referring to spring choices for the drum-brake
Loops) Dave R. writes: "The springs can be preloaded using as much as an

inch (25mm) of 1 1/2" ABS plastic plumbing pipe." Cheers,

spring rates. No indication of where to place. There is a diagram
showing dimensions of this spacer. It shows 1" diameter and 1.5" tall
with a narrower (0.59") diameter at top of the diagram. I'm not sure how

to interpret this.
