I am curious to hear what the group has to say about this....

"I understand there is a downside to using 12"ers
(fluid running from trans. to rear drive?)"

Has this actually been a problem for anyone? I have had 12" shocks on th Bronze Beauty for two years now and it's been fine.....I like a lower seat height on my bikes,... I put the lower shocks on to achieve this, not thinking that it could create problems, and as of yet, it hasn't. Any other insight on this subject?

 Guzzoids,

Wanted to replace stock 12.5" rear shocks on my '72 Eldo. Progressive seems
to be the answer, but they recommend a 13" shock. I'm reluctant to make the
bike any taller, but I understand there is a downside to using 12"ers
(fluid running from trans. to rear drive?).

And just how difficult would it be to replace fork stock springs with some
of those new progressive winds?

Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks,
