Paul,
Thanks! That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure. I am just about to reassemble, (everything except the rear drive, John C. has the universal joints for a rebuild) and I said to my oldest son, "This doesn't fit the way it should...me thinks maybe it ain't used or a different one is needed!" He replied; "to be sure, ask the Loop list!" (he's so bright, that's why I call him son!)
Once again, the Loop list comes through!!!
Thanks again,
Bill

Bill,

No you don't use it. If you look at the Ram it has a small hole in the
center that the rod actually fits into. Be sure to put a little grease
in the hole.

When installing the new RAM clutch, is the old pressure cap that
mounted on to the pushrod used? It doesn't fit like it did to the
stock clutch. Is a different style pressure cap needed?
Thanks in advance,
Bill
