My Eldo police cam to me with the valve covers painted
black. Does anyone think these came from the factory like
this? Supposedly this was a Miami police bike and if so,
my suspicion is that the dept did the painting, not the
factory.
If this is not stock from the factory, I'd prefer to
remove it because a) it looks like hell, badly scratched,
and b) I like the look of polished aluminum better. If it
is stock from the factory, I'd like to remove it to
repaint.
Does anyone have a particularly favorite paint stripping
product they've used for this purpose? Don't want to risk
pitting with blasting.
