Noel,
J.C. Whitney sells an internal sleeve set that slides inside of the muffler and over the header pipe. I have been using it for two years, and I don't really care for it. Not a tight enough fit for my tastes, so I am going to go to a local muffler shop and see if they can stretch my headers a bit on the end to fit the muffler and eliminate the need for the spacers.

Hail Guzzisti,

Sorry I've been a stranger, guys. Moved, new job, finally got a new computer and DSL, etc.But it's time to ride....
The Loop List Rules, so here's my question:
After staggering in the mud at Mid-Ohio last summer looking for holy grail guzzi parts (found'em, too!), I scored a pair of new Bub mufflers ($30!) that I thought would look nice on my 850T. Just got the new header pipes in from MG cycle...the only problem is...the mufflers were designed to fit a harley, so the mounting tabs are on the same side AND, the header pipes are too small for the mufflers...looks to be a quarter to an eighth of an inch difference...The tabs can be cut off one muffler and welded, but is there an adapter I can get to fit these together? Any experiences to share? I appreciated any and all replies...
Kind Regards,
Noel McCormack
