Subject: Drain/Fill Plugs

Questions. Are the tranny and rear end fill plugs interchangable with
the oil drain plug? The reason I ask is I bought a plug advertised as an
oil drain, but ended up using it on the rear end top fill. Seems to fit
fine, but I'm having some gear oil leak out (after a ride) the top
around the plug. When I unscrew it, I get a hissing from pressure
release. Is this normal? The plug is one with the small magnet attached.
Also getting some drops of oil from around the drain plug after a ride.
Should I be using some type of special washer to get a better seal?
Finally some NICE riding weather here in NJ!
