Thanks Greg and Rob. So does that mean to drain the read drive I have to
remove the 6 hex head bolts on the bottom of the thing that looks like a
heat diffuser?

The rearward facing plug is the "level" plug.

With bike in gear on the centerstand, it is normal to hear some clunking
as there isn't any load on the rear wheel to keep all of the pieces
pressed up against one another. It isn't a good thing to idle it on the
centerstand in gear for extended periods of time...the lack of a load
and the clunking will reduce the life of the drive train components. A
little bit for diagnostic purposes, is just fine, IMHO.
