Hi AJ

Don't be afraid of taking Greg's advice of tackling the job of
rebuilding your carbs. I ordered the kit from MG Cycle a year ago and
did it myself and if I can do it I'm sure you can. Like Greg mentioned
you need a clean surface to work on, I spread a large sheet of newsprint
(print free) on my worksurface and wrote the corresponding number from
the manual along with each part so as not to get confused to what was
what. You will soon find out that there are not that many parts and you
will soon feel like a pro. I also bought a timing light to adjust my
timing ($15-$20)and mercury sticks ($75)to adjust my carbs. I found
that these two tools really helped in my getting the bike tuned up
properly.
As far as the sputtering goes on my eldo, after taking everybodies
helpful advice and running tests, I feel that the sputtering was do to
operator error, I was not letting the bike warm up suffecientaly (is
there a spell check here?) after spending nights in an unheated garage
in NY state.

Good luck

joel
