Subject: (MGCL) Guzzi Racer in Need- Sean Fader

This is an appeal for money, so some of you may want to delete this
immediately. I want to raise $600 to buy Guzzi racer Sean Fader a racing
cam,
valve springs, and associated hardware, and I only need 11 more Guzzi
Guys to
put up $50 each to do it. I'll put in the first $50. If/when we hit our
cash
goal, I'll let everyone know to stop sending $$.

Guzzi racer Sean "Puffy" Fader kicked butt last weekend in the Willow
Springs
AHRMA races on his loopframe racer in BEARS and Sportsman750 classes- 2
2nd
place finishes. I see an opportunity to help him kick butt even more.
Some of
you may have had Sean work on your bikes while he was the mechanic at
Moto
Italiano in SF or Cycle Garden or British marketing in SoCal.He and
co-owner
Josh are both working stiffs like the rest of us - they drive out to the
track
after work, and sleep in their truck before+after the races. No hotels,
room
service or other niceties for these guys. These two Guzzi guys have
stepped up
to the plate and built a racing Guzzi out of the parts that they had
laying
around. They somehow scrape together the $250 in entry fees that it
takes to
run 4 races/ weekend with AHRMA. AND THEY WIN! They are slowly improving
the
bike ~$100 at a time. Their weak link right now is a cam- Addition of a
Megacycle race cam will instantly get these guys 10% more power and make
them
competitive in these two vintage classes. They'll have plenty of time to
stuff
their new cam in before the Colorado and New Mexico AHRMA races in
September.
Then maybe we'll see those 2nd place finish turn into 1sts!!

As you may know, Sean is an excellent mechanic, so his sweat equity will
be his
part of this engine build. All we need to do is supply him with the
hardware.
Their end of the bargain in this project is to keep that Guzzi on the
racetrack
for the forseeable future.

If anyone else wants to step up to the plate and help these two guys
make their
Guzzi racer more competitive, you can paypal or mail a check for $50 to

Your contribution will be duly noted. I will post an update on the fund
raiser
and the bike in a few weeks time. We'll have some dyno runs posted on it
as
well. $600 ain't that much to raise. We can do it!

THANK YOU and... GUZZI POWER!
