I know what you mean Charlie. The guy I picked the Yamaha up from says his
brother has another one for me and all I have to do for it is come get it!
He apparently has a shed full of bikes and forgets what he has and goes out
and buys something new. Who knows what I might be bring back home with me,
hopefully he has a Loop stuffed back in a corner somewhere.

Today I bought yet another Ambo basketcase, this one a mid-'70 one. My
buddy Dan picked it up a year or so ago for $150 and intended on one day
reassembling it into a complete bike. No time, no room for two bikes in
an 8x10 shed and a recent marriage helped him decide it needed to go.
Pretty rough condition having been wrecked at some point and then stored
in a leaky shed, but well worth the $75 I paid. Missing a few items that
I already have, but a few more that I don't. Dan kept the u-joint and
rear fender, other things such as the forks, front fender and gas tank
were damaged in the crash then discarded years ago. Should probably just
use it for parts, but can't resist the urge to put it back together
instead.
