Hi AJ,

A couple of comments:

1. Things on my Ambo that didn't rust in two years of Minnesota weather
and riding (always garaged) rusted within a month down here in Tampa
(always garaged). Don't underestimate the power of the humidity in the
south (and Minnesota isn't exactly a "dry" state). Fortunately,
Bainbridge is far enough from the Gulf not to worry about salt on a
daily basis. Look to keep your bike covered completely from top to
bottom. At the very least, get a fitted cover that covers 100% of the
bike (even surrounding the bottom of both wheels). If you have a little
bit of a foot print to use, I would try to construct a very small frame,
plastic covered shed. Something like this, only smaller:

2. Spider-proof is impossible! My wife walked out the back door this
weekend. A large 3 1/2" citrus spider was hiding up in the door. When my
wife disturbed it by opening the door, the spider fell onto her head and
ran down her face and arm. After a shreak, she quickly stomped it to
death. :> This morning I was collecting trash from around the house -
gathering all the trash from the little cans and placing them in a fresh
garbage bag. It wasn't until I was getting ready stuff a bunch more
trash in there that I noticed a very meaty 4" citrus spider in the trash
bag nervously scampering about. I decided he could spend the rest of his
short life inside the sealed bag.

3. Jim DeGregoria (co-rep for Florida along with Skip) lives in the
Panama City, FL. area. Grant Borden (Alabama rep in Jasper) is pretty
active in Alabama and across the south. The Georgia rep is Wayne Orwig -
he's in the Atlanta area. You'll definitely be closest to Jim. Look him
up...he's good people and I think he has a loop or two.

4. There are some neat roads in that area...so don't dispair!

Hello again,

Well sadly, I will be leaving my beloved adopted home of SW Michigan for

the hot and steamy SW Georgia. Wife is the bread winner and she's taking
a
job in Bainbridge. Its either follow or get divorced. Just got married
so I
guess I am following :)

First off I guess, anyone in the Bainbridge or Tallahassee area?

But to my question. She bought a house with no garage. Oh the humanity!!
So
the bike will have to be kept outside until I can find the funds and
means
for a garage for my stuff. I'd like to protect it from the elements. Can

anyone recommend a bike cover? One that is spider resistant would be a
bonus (that's for you Greg :)).

Thanks,

-AJ
