i use a butane torch, and flick the flame [hmmm-that sounds weird]
around on the discs. the oil will rise to the surface, and ya wipe it
off with a rag. keep doing this 'till there ain't anymore oil. don't
leave the flame in one place very long, tho.

I mentioned before that my transmission seal went out and my bike was
leaking a lot of gear oil. One effect of that is that my clutch plates were
soaked in oil (though they surprisingly didn't slip on the 70 mph 100 mile
ride home) Is this a long term problem or can I just use mineral spirits to
clean them off and stick them back in?
