The last time I was at this rally(96)we camped across the road,I think it is some kind of park.Close to the action but a little quieter.

I would suggest that you campers may want to try to bunk a few guys per tent. I've been to that rally twice and the camping spots got taken fast. With the national it will be much worse. I doubt there'll be anything left by Friday.
Now this speculation of not having a place to pitch a tent isn't very encouraging, surely if a National is being planned, arrangements of some kind have been made for space? It's not much fun showing up if you have to ride miles away in order to sleep, and then have to sleep on the ground anyway.
I don't need much, and being a regular at OVBSAOC I know how to camp in the wet and on hillsides and in small spots, so I'm betting that even by Friday there'll be SOMEplace to go.....
