Ah, there's the rub. THEY found me in 1993. I was listed in the MGNOC
newsletter as a local help and touring contact in the SF Bay area. They
planned a California/Southwest tour and were looking for local support.
Frank Wedge sent copies of the newsletter to the factory and the
factory gave them to the club. They called and asked for help. I
worked so hard on THEIR tour that they made me an honorary member. You
can't join, you have to be invited. Gordon DelaMare of England was
likewise inducted after he likewise gave them huge support on their Isle
of Man tour in 1997. I have made 7 of their last 10 tours (Toscana,
Abruzzo, Isle of Man, Alsace, Calabria, Corsica, US Southwest). Current
expectations are for Sardegna next year and then the Isle of Man 100th
anniversary in 2007. Yes, I am one VERY fortunate person and I don't
ever forget the luck in the alignment of my stars. This Guzzi stuff,
especially the vintage, has really opened up the world to me and I am
exceedingly humble and grateful. Hence, my sharing of the reports and
pictures for you all. If nothing else, you can ride along vicariously.
They had the red coveralls custom made and they are NOT obtainable
outside the club membership.
