i would assume it's either low grade gas ping, or your timing is
advanced a little far. retard it a degree or 2, put a load on it (i.e.
up a hill) and see if the pinging is gone. if it is indeed a knock, you
may have a little work ahead of you...

No problem, I didn't really know there was an "award" per se. Just curious.

I saw you taking pics, are you going to post them somewhere?
Speaking of good ride back I did, basically except that I started to hear a
"knocking" sound when I throttled the bike up hill or even throttling her on
a flat grade. Didn't really sound like the characteristic valve clanging.
Could this be timing? If not what else could it be? Thanks, and again,
good to see you. Bob

Hi Bob,
Good to see you again and finally "meet" your Ambo. :-)

I saw that you had your name on the board and didn't change it in hopes
they'd go ahead and give it to you even though you weren't present. I
already have two from previous WNY Rallies. My Ambo is a just a wee bit
older by serial number (about 53 I think, mine is A12212 - yours A12265 or
so?). Joe Casey and Andy know this and it was decided to give the award to
me.

Hope you have a good ride back, see you again sometime. Cheers, Charlie.

Charlie, Good to see you and Leon, Klaus and Rose, Andy and Steve at the
WNY ralley. Always nice to converse in person, even though the day was
hot.

Hey I wrote my name down on the ralley board as having the oldest bike at
the ralley, Was it, just curious? Thanks, Bob
