Hi Duffy,

Do you mean it's coming out of the bellhousing or the back of the
transmission?

If it's coming out of the back of the transmission, then you can easily
get to it by removing the rear wheel and swingarm; replace the push-rod
o-rings (using OEM cones or the Moto International o-rings); and replace
the plunger o-ring on the outer body.

If it's coming out of the bellhousing, then it could be a number of
things:

1. the o-rings mentioned above
2. Front transmission seal or the o-rings behind the clutch input hub

If you aren't certain it's transmission oil and it's coming from the
bellhousing, then you'll also want to check the engine stuff:

1. breather hoses - securely fastened and no cracks
2. rear main seal
3. gasket under the rear main bearing flange
4. gasket under the big tube going up to the breather
5. aluminum crush washer connecting the breather return pipe to the
bottom of the bellhousing
6. leaky camshaft plug

If the back of the transmission fixes don't cure it, you'll need to pull
the transmission and address the possibles in the bellhousing.

Best of luck!

hey guys, finally got my ambo ready to ride after sitting in self storage

for the winter, and then wasting the spring working 7 days a week at
work, drove over and the trans had leaked a major amount of the new lube

I had put in the day before. It's coming out of the clutch pushrod area

and leaking too much to ride, so it's back to work on the bike. Anybody

done the work I think I'm going to have to do? I got a pretty good idea

from guzziology, but any pointers would be appreciated. I guess the
first thing I have to do is build a cradle for my mc jack so I can lift
the bike, remove the rear wheel....
