Hi Hacksaw,
Yes, it's a tubular piece that goes the whole way through the hub. I'll
be doing this job eventually on a friends Eldo - best I could figure in
advance was to use a section of pipe that will fit around the flange
portion as a lower press fixture. Might help to heat the aluminum hub to
(hopefully) ease removal and installation. Good luck, let us know how it
goes.

Thanks Andy.
It looks like the spline unit has a sleeve or tunnel that extends
through the entire hub.
Is that what you know it to be?
I'm thinking I'll need to press this entire unit out from the
'backside'.
If I would have know this I would have had my new tire mounted to the
"donor wheel". :-{

Thanks for the help.

it drives [or presses] out from the oposite side. the fit is very, very,

tight. when re-installing it, it's helpful to put the spline in the
freezer overnight, and use plenty of lube. good luck,

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to all you Fathers.
I need to know the 'secret' for removing the drive spline from the rear
wheel.
I have all the bolts removed but can't seem to figure out how it
seperates from the aluminum hub.
