Sorry for the double post guys - hitting the wrong keys again!

The steeing damper is working out well - better than I expected. I got
some interest from another list member for a kit, but he brought up a
good point about making it strictly a bolt-on affair. I drilled an extra
hole in my lower triple clamp to mount the bracket; a 1/4" hole right in
the split halfway between the stem and the R/H fork tube. I'm sure there
was no structural integrity lost, but without a 90 deg drill adapter
some disassembly would be required. And of course there is the dilemma
of molesting vintage parts. After a little thought it seems a simple
task to modify the bracket design so that no drilling would be required.
It could straddle the steering stem nut and attach to the triple clamp
using the two holes already present on either side of the stem. I'm also
looking to improve the crashbar mount too with something a bit more
sanitary.
