check the breather tubes. I put my eldo back together and didn't get very
far before it started blowing oil all over the top of the engine/trans and
leaking out of the bellhousing.
What can also happen is that the old seal will have worn a groove into the
crank where it had been riding. Best thing to do wuold be to seat the seal
slightly further into or slightly further out of the cover. This is your
most likely source.

If your oil didn't look like a pearleascent paint, you SHOULD be OK on that
part.

I think that oil can leak from the cam plug inside the bellhousing area if
it's not been sealed with JBWeld.

When you replaced the seal, did you lubricate it with grease first? what
color is the seal, some are directional, some seal better than others (can't
remember which is which, but someone will chime in)
