I love that kind of advice. Pretty much what I do anyway, but it
always feels better if someone else agrees with you.

Seems like people who ride old bikes seem to fall in either the
"extremely anal" camp or the "just ride it" camp or somewhere in
between. I'm firmly entrenched in the "just ride it" camp, now I
need my bike to be in good enough shape that it has constant
nagging problems (to let you know its still there) but no major
ones.
