Random questions here (some of which I'm sure you've already answered). No need to answer them, just hopefully something will ring a bell for you??? 1. Could it be that the push rod is too short? |
Worked before disassembly. Other than that, I can't say.

| 5. As long as the transmission and engine mate properly, I don't suppose there is anything wrong with the trans spacer being longer on one side than the other...perhaps it just worked out of the aluminum case? |
I figure the frame must be bent or something. Complicatd greatly my
efforts to get the swingarm aligned with the tranny output.

Yes. Shimmed and re-sealed the tranny and installed o-ring pushrod seal.
| 7. You did remember to put the little puck for the push rod back in the pressure plate? |
| 8. Could it be that the clutch springs are not lined up properly - creating lateral forces on the intermediate plate? |
they "printed" into the spring pockets of the plate.

Nope. I get a full stroke on the clutch arm.
This has to have happened to someone else before. Maybe I'll call Mark
E. for advice.
