Greg,

This is a long shot but.... Once upon a time I was shipped the wrong
springs (no, none of our friends on this list:-))Anyways, It drove me
nuts. I inspected and re-inspected my work to find nothing, all
adjustments that could be made were, the clutch SHOULD'VE worked..but
the Eldo still dragged.
Finally with no other options, I measured the new springs. Way too short
so the plates never totally separated.
I called MG, and put some springs in from them and the clutch worked
beautifully..

Good luck

Kev

I just replaced the flywheel and clutch on a 74 Eldo and put it back
together. The clutch wouldn't release, so I took off the tranny and
confirmed everythign was installed correctly. It was. Now it's back
together and still won't release. I've tried all the adjsutments, etc.
The other wierd thing was theat the tranny spacer on the left side was
shorter than on the right.
