I pulled the tranny again this morning (third time), and did some
experimenting with it on the bench. Mark E. said to look inside to see
if the old tube-type pushrod seal was still in there, along with the
o-rings I added. Nope.
But after playing with it a while I noted that the inner body of the
throwout assembly couldn't go full forward with all six o-rings in
there. I tried 5, and it still hung up. With 4 in there, I got full
travel, and hopefully that will be enough to seal.
Tranny's back on, and the clutch seems to release fine. Hallelujah!
