The regular solo seat mounted just like the couch, It had a U clamp in the front that mounted to the top tube just behinf the tank and 2 bolts that mounted to the tabs in front of the shocks. The orginal springer seats from what I have seen, had a hinge mount behind the tank and spring cup brackets that mounted on the tabs near the shocks

Thanks to ebay I have a solo police seat.... from a Harley. I didn't
think I would win the bid, $45 which includes a mini-air bag suspension.
My question is how does the original style solo seat mount to the frame
and is there an extra braket added to support the rear or are there rear
springs the seat rides on? I want it to look correct so need some info,
maybe someone has pictures they can hook me up with showing the details.
I hope to be at mid-ohio and I'll be looking for some loops with solo
seats. Sorry, I'll probably be riding my '02 Tiger up there. I'm slowly
moving to an all Guzzi stable but it takes time to find the right bikes.
