Thanks for the personal replies. I decided to clean up the area with the
mystery hole and close it up with JB Weld. Finally found a new use for
the dental tools I scored from the clinic at school. Cool little spoons
for doing fillings work real well with JB Weld in small areas. Did that
this a.m. and then redid the flange gasket with hypolar this time
instead of bearing grease. It was leaking in two spots near bolts. Will
refill drive tomorrow night and hang it and wait and see. I'll report of
course.
