Another incident with a funny ending:
I'm in Texas heading to the Mexican border riding an MZ wide open ,90 MPH, at 10 PM .
I pass this pickup truck slogging along at 40-50. A guy with a big cowboy hat is driving.
I'm from the Northeast. I figure everyone in Texas has a pickup and a cowboy hat. No problem.
It was a park ranger / cop. He pulls me over. He is an older guy. Very formal and very Texan.
I'm looking through my papers and he notices my passport. He says " You need a passport to come to Texas?"
I didn't know what to say. So I said "I guess so". He laugh and gave me a ticket/warning. Turns out, I will never
live this down, that it was a game warden ticket. A poacher's ticket as my gracious hosts gleefully reminded me over
and over again for the next two weeks.
So out of all this hassle the Dutchman and You have gone through you'll have some interesting memories. Wait till he gets
to South America.

BTW, we're pretty much confirmed the officer is ignorant of the law and our complaint follow-up is in progress.
