"Hi Ted,
Dielectric grease only protects from corrosion..."

Hi, Charlie. I was working on my trailer lights this
morning, and using some but connectors. If it were my
guzzi, I'd have used the dielectric grease, but since
my supply is low, I used wheel bearing grease in the
connectors to seal out corrosion. I was wondering at
the time, and now that I've read your post I'm
wondering again, how the dielectric stuff is better
then regular old grease for this purpose. Any idea?
